Wok&Go is a quick service restaurant and is the leading noodle bar in the UK with a mixture of company owned and franchise stores across the UK and internationally. Our restaurants offer customers the option of in store eating, takeaway or delivery. We are excited to welcome a new member to the senior management team and are looking to recruit an Area Manager to oversee all operations of our UK North West Wok&Go restaurants.
Location Base: Chester CH1
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Contracted Hours: 48
Holidays 25 days Holiday (plus bank holidays)

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience in a similar role, ideally within QSR environment, and will be confident leading and supporting a number of direct reports. A proven working knowledge of H&S & Food Safety standards is also a must
Reporting into the Operations Director, duties will include providing strong leadership and direction to the shop managers, developing staff and leading by example, achieving set store targets and budget costs, having a good understanding of all company documentation, adhering to company employee rules, H&S and Food Safety Standards
Responsibilities will also include but not be limited to:
Being the first point of contact for the managers of your designated stores
Effectively managing team members in a proactive manner on a daily basis. This includes organising team meetings, undertaking performance reviews, completing team administration.
Developing, training and supporting the Operations team to ensure business needs are met
Ensuring continuous improvement and best practice as well as effective team working is a priority for all
Providing reporting and key performance indicators
Organising their area of operations
Establishing continuous improvements processes and practices
Overseeing all daily operations processes across their eight stores
Ensuring that site is audit ready at all times
Managing H&S and food safety
Attending senior management meetings
Operations management of the dark kitchens
- Management skills
- Willing to travel
- A confident, pro-active, organised, hands-on individual
- Good writing and analytic skills, a clear communicator
- Experience working to deadlines under pressure. Ability to prioritise workloads and manage several projects without losing focus
- Knowledge/experience in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
- Personable and approachable
- Self-driven and a good team player
- Adaptable and willing to change
- Driving licence and car owner
Working hours are typically Monday – Friday. Your rota will be discussed and approved by the Operations Director. However, from time to time, you must be willing to work evenings and weekends when the business needs require.
